Savearth devices do not record conversations, identify individuals, or store voice content. Instead, the technology analyses anonymous acoustic patterns to estimate shower activity and water consumption in real time. No speech recognition or audio storage is performed.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when guests interact with hotels using the Savearth platform, website, or sustainability features.

How Savearth Works

Savearth devices are installed inside hotel bathrooms to help estimate shower water consumption and environmental impact. The technology uses embedded sensors and AI-based processing to identify non-personal shower usage patterns.

The system was specifically designed to avoid invasive monitoring methods. No cameras are used, and the platform does not perform speech recognition, voice identification, or behavioural profiling of guests.

The information generated by the system allows hotels to better understand water consumption trends, reduce unnecessary waste, and optionally provide sustainability-related rewards or incentives to guests who choose to participate.

Information We Collect

Depending on how a participating hotel configures the Savearth platform, we may collect limited operational and interaction data related to sustainability usage.

This may include estimated shower duration, estimated water consumption, estimated energy consumption, reward eligibility status, device interaction timestamps, and anonymous technical diagnostics such as connectivity status or battery performance.

If a guest voluntarily interacts with certain features — such as QR-code experiences, sustainability campaigns, or reward systems — additional information may be provided directly by the user. This can include an email address, reward participation details, or guest feedback submissions.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information unless explicitly provided by the user.

Information We Do Not Collect

Savearth was intentionally designed to avoid collecting highly sensitive or invasive information.

We do not collect or store:

This includes estimating water and energy savings, generating sustainability analytics for hotels, enabling optional reward experiences, maintaining platform reliability, preventing misuse of the system, and improving the overall guest sustainability experience.

Our goal is to help hospitality operators make environmental impact measurable while keeping the experience simple and respectful for guests.

Rewards & Sustainability Experiences

Some participating hotels may offer rewards or sustainability incentives linked to eco-conscious guest behaviour.

These experiences are managed independently by each hotel and may include benefits such as complimentary services, discounts, loyalty perks, drinks, spa access, or other hotel-defined rewards.

Reward availability may vary depending on the property, operational conditions, local policies, or campaign availability. Rewards may be modified, paused, limited, or discontinued at any time by the hotel.

Rewards provided through Savearth-related sustainability programs have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash unless explicitly stated otherwise by the hotel.

Savearth provides the supporting technology infrastructure, while hotels remain responsible for the operational execution and fulfilment of rewards.

Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable under GDPR or similar privacy regulations, Savearth processes information based on legitimate interests, contractual necessity, user consent, or legal obligations.

When consent is required, users will be informed through the relevant interface or hotel communication channels.

Data Sharing

Savearth does not sell personal data.

Limited information may be shared with participating hotel partners, cloud infrastructure providers, analytics providers, or trusted technical service partners strictly for operational and platform-related purposes.

Information may also be disclosed where legally required by regulatory authorities or applicable law.

All service providers are expected to maintain appropriate confidentiality and security standards.
